Are you an experienced HVAC Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and reliable system performance? We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our Technical team, supporting projects in Roodepoort and Bloemfontein. If you have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on installation experience, and a commitment to safety and service excellence, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Installations, Servicing & Repairs
- Install, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Maintain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Install and maintain refrigeration systems, including cold rooms and freezer rooms.
- Diagnose faults in electrical components, wiring, and system controls.
- Test electrical circuits for continuity and functionality.
- Inspect HVAC and refrigeration systems for performance and compliance.
- Reassemble equipment following repairs and maintenance.
- Identify and resolve system malfunctions effectively.
System Expertise
- Work on chilled water systems, cooling towers, and pumps.
- Service split units, VRF/VRV systems, and packaged units.
- Maintain air handling units and computer room cooling systems.
- Service multi-stage evaporative cooling and ventilation systems.
Health & Safety
- Follow all safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Ensure installations and repairs meet specifications and industry standards.
- Handle refrigerants safely and responsibly.
General Responsibilities
- Complete ad-hoc technical tasks and project-related work.
- Travel to project sites as required.
- Maintain professional service standards when engaging with clients and team members.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Grade 12.
- OTTC, ACRA, or N-Stream qualification.
- Trade Test certification (mandatory).
Experience
- 10+ years’ experience post qualification.
- Proven installation, servicing, and repair experience in HVAC & R systems.
Technical Requirements
- Strong understanding of electrical and control circuits.
- Safe handling of refrigerants certification (mandatory).
- Computer literacy.
- Own tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Smartphone for communication and reporting.
Additional Training (Advantageous)
- Safety training.
- First Aid training.
- Electrical and controls training.
